Position Overview


As a key member of the Ambassador Travel team, the Leisure Travel Advisor will be responsible for providing the successful completion of leisure travel arrangements for Direct Travel Leisure clients.


This is a part-time office position. Partial remote work might be available occasionally but the primary portion of the role is office-based.


Responsibilities


  • Provide leisure travel sales by building a clientele of new and existing business
  • Build client base through Virtuoso marketing, local events and personal networking
  • Sell DT strategic supplier products
  • Plan itineraries, book tickets and arrange travel accommodations and services
  • Research and provide solutions to client travel-related problems
  • Provide excellent customer services to internal and external clients
  • Continued education via Virtuoso Travel Academy, internal programs, and travel
  • This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or efforts associated with the position
  • Assist with general office tasks such as greeting visitors and answering incoming calls

  • Social Media Savvy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
  • Demonstrated professional customer service skills
  • The capability of maintaining a favorable company image when interfacing with outside sources
  • Proven pursuit of learning and self-development
  • Ability to demonstrate personal and organizational integrity
  • The capability of working in a team environment supporting management and staff, following policies, providing feedback, assisting in special projects, and taking on additional responsibility
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Experience or travel advisor training
  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
