Its postgraduate medical education programs include family medicine and transitional year.Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the Center of Quality Outcomes and Medical Staff management, advises, supports, and assist in the use of data through advance statistical analysis, data mining and data visualization techniques to measure and report on clinical effectiveness. Provides maintenance and support of a variety of data systems to support the quality and operational initiatives. Serves as Midas System Administrator assisting in the development of strategies, projects and goals to utilize technology in innovative ways ultimately improving efficiency. Provides support with CMS publicly reported data, Leapfrog, MD Staff, Peer Review and other performance improvement initiatives. Serves as MSS Credentialing system administrator (MD Staff) in order to optimize the system.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: Master's Degree in Health Administration, Computer Science, Business Administration or related fieldMinimum Years of Experience: NoneSubstitutable Education & Experience (Optional): A Master's Degree may be substituted for one of the following combinations:A Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field with 2 years of related experience working in the database management.An Associate's Degree in Health Administration, Computer Science, or Business Administration or related field with 5 years of related experience working in the database management and analysis.Required Certifications/Licensure: NoneRequired Training: Experience with database querying and reporting technologies/tools such as Crystal Reports, Midas+ products; and Medical Staff Credentialing software such as MD Staff.Able to understand various data structure and common methods in data transformation;Experience Microsoft Office Suite ( especially proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point)Must possess strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.Essential Functions• Interprets, analyses, present and distributes various data results to members of the quality team and other clinical and administrative team members as requested.• Summarizes information in a logical format and communicates in a clear and concise manner.• Utilizes and analyzes data in various approaches such as workflow assessments, best practice evaluations, operational efficiency evaluations and performance improvement.• Provides data and analysis for rapidly changing requirements for internal and external reporting: CMS, Leapfrog, DHEC, Multiple Registries, Medical Staff• Coordinates data requirements for hospital quality initiatives and provide technical expertise for all members of the Quality Team.• Manages downloading and maintenance of Peer Review and PI metrics in the STATIT system• Maintains and supports Midas+ products such as Care Management, Seeker, Statit, Datavision/Conduent.• Acts as the Midas+ Functional and Technical Systems Manager responsible for: user training, maintaining system integrity and security, implementing modules, reporting, customer user support, monitoring message queues and processors, coordinating system changes/upgrades, and troubleshooting technical problems.Duties & Responsibilities• Maintains and supports Medical Staff/Provider credentialing system.• Maintains current knowledge of changes in the department's and relevant clinical data systems and methodologies.• Serves as liaision users, application vendors, and other IS resources.• Educates, informs, and consults with customers and peers to effectively determine department/system needs and resolve problems.• Participates in system design.• Participates in working sessions with stakeholders to obtain necessary project/initiative information to or assist with execution of projects/initiatives.• Audit databases and data to ensure data integrity.
