Join Our Team as an HR Business Partner at LGC!

We are looking for an expert HR professional ready to make a significant impact in a dynamic and innovative environment. This role is for a dedicated HR Business Partner to join our Standards Business Unit in the UK.

This is a permanent role based out of our Bury, Manchester location where you'll play a vital part in supporting our mission of "Science for a Safer World"!

As an HR Business Partner, you'll be the linchpin in connecting our teams across multiple locations, including Bury, Teddington, Prenton/Bromborough, and home-based employees. You'll manage and implement local HR projects while also contributing to global initiatives, ensuring that our HR strategies align with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting HR Management in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues.
  • Building strong relationships with business and functional leaders, earning their trust as a valued advisor.
  • Promoting equality, diversity, fairness, inclusion, and respect within our inclusive team culture.
  • Managing recruitment processes and supporting performance management, training, and development.
  • Assessing and managing absence and occupational health matters.
  • Supporting annual remuneration reviews and driving organizational development and change.

Qualifications

  • What We’re Looking For:

  • A graduate or equivalent experience with a professional HR qualification and several years of HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of HR principles and practices, with the ability to apply them effectively to meet business needs.
  • High-level influencing skills, with the presence and personality to make a positive impact with senior management.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, self-reliant individual who takes personal responsibility to inspire change and challenges the status quo.

Additional Information

This role is based in Bury, Greater Manchester, on a hybrid basis. 2-3 days on site per week.
