We are looking to fill an Assistant Controller position in the Lewisville area with a large and fast growing manufacturing company. The position will report to the VP of Accounting and will manage the accounting staff. This position and will pay 145K-150K+Bonus.Duties:• Ensure that consolidated financial statements are prepared timely and in compliance with US GAAP. This includes monthly financial reporting packages and preparation of annual statements with footnotes.• Direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and reports.• Analyze the financial details of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.• Issue monthly forecast with accuracy and variance analysis compared to budget.• Collaborate with department heads to drive budgeting initiatives.• Provide direction and assistance to other organization units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.• Coordinate interactions with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits and reviews in an efficient manner.• Partner closely with VP of F&A to identify and mitigate risk and foreseen impacts of operational decisions/initiatives.• Prepare cash flow projections and manage cash flow continuously.• Project profitability – ongoing monitoring and analysis.• Seek process improvements to drive expense savings and to improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial close.• Training of F&A staff as required.• Ensure internal controls are in place and complied with and that policies are in accordance with reporting requirements.• Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives and current accounting standards.• Oversight of researching accounting/GAAP issues, documentation of company accounting policies and procedures, ad hoc analysis, and the preparation of various reports for internal use and senior management meetings.• Make recommendations to increase operational efficiency and accuracy.Qualifications• BA in Accounting is required.• 10+ years’ total experience, preferably in the field of manufacturing.• Able to show significant career progression.• CPA or MBA preferred.• Experience in multi-entity/monthly closing.• Multi-currency experience preferred but not required.If you are interested in this job or other Accounting and Finance career opportunities from LHH Recruitment Solutions please email Rami Muhanna at rami.muhanna@lhh.com or visit our website at www.lhh.com
