The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role involves preparing tax returns, providing tax advice, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.This is a great opportunity for someone seeking regular business hours during tax season and limited hours during the summer months for optimal work/life balance.Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns.• Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.• Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients.• Assist clients with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.• Maintain accurate and organized client records and documentation.• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax projects.• Identify opportunities for tax savings and recommend strategies to clients.• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• CPA certification preferred.• 4+ years of public accounting experience• Financial planning nice to have.This is a full-time role paid hourly with growth opportunities.
