LHH is working with a client who is looking for a Financial Controller. The position is hybrid, based in Coconut Creek. This is a new position that was created to support the Services division. This position would require up to 25% international travel. Industry experience is preferred and US GAAP understanding required.Responsibilities:• Serve as the primary financial point of contact, coordinating with financial analysts in Willis Services business units, staff, auditors, investors, partners, and other external entities, while maintaining a helpful, cooperative, and informed demeanor, and adhering to internal controls and procedures.• Prepare, review, and analyze supporting schedules for financial and operational reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, both for internal business management and external presentations to investors, partners, credit providers, and auditors.• Identify opportunities and recommend improvements to streamline financial and operational processes.• Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries based on supporting schedules and account analyses.• Oversee all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end close processes.• Maintain fixed asset accounting, including the engine portfolio.• Review tax-related reports, including corporate tax returns, VAT reporting, and local tax compliance requirements.• Generate timely financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, and perform variance analysis and reviews of these statements.• Assist in the implementation of internal control procedures to ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.• Develop processes for trend analysis, monitoring, and forecasting to support accurate annual budgeting and five-year forecasting.• Complete various tasks and projects as assigned to support both operational and financial objectives.Requirements:• Excellent understanding of US GAAP accounting rules• Exceptionally strong analytical skills and the ability to be attentive to details• CPA preferred• 8+ years of experience
