Senior Credit Manager

Job Summary:LHH is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Manager to lead and oversee the credit operations for one of our clients. This role will involve managing a large team of 11 credit professionals, ensuring that all credit activities are conducted efficiently and in line with company policies. The Senior Credit Manager will be responsible for assessing credit risk, developing strategies to minimize risk, and optimizing the company’s cash flow by managing credit approvals, collections, and payment terms.Key Responsibilities:• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 11 credit analysts and managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.• Credit Risk Management: Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers, monitor credit limits, and make informed recommendations to mitigate financial risks.• Credit Policy Development: Review, update, and implement credit policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.• Collections Oversight: Oversee collections efforts, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding receivables and addressing escalated accounts.• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular credit and risk reports, including aging analysis, bad debt provisions, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.• Customer Relationship Management: Work closely with key customers to negotiate payment terms, resolve disputes, and ensure customer satisfaction while protecting company interests.• Collaboration: Coordinate with sales, finance, and legal teams to align credit decisions with overall business objectives and support long-term customer relationships.• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to credit and collections.• Performance Monitoring: Track team performance, set goals, and conduct regular evaluations to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of targets.Qualifications:• Minimum of 7-10 years of credit management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.• Strong understanding of credit risk analysis, financial statements, and credit scoring models.• Proven experience in leading and managing a large team, with excellent leadership and team-building skills.• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities.• Proficiency in credit management software and ERP systems (experience with [insert specific software if applicable]).• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Key Competencies:• Leadership and team management• Strong analytical and decision-making skills• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Customer-focused with strong negotiation abilities• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities• Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking skills
