The Role
We are seeking a Licensing Specialist to assist the Legal Department in obtaining and maintaining the company’s state licenses. The role will also assist with preparing and submitting annual reports, business qualifications, and supporting licensing exams. This is a hybrid role that will be required to be on-site in either Prosper’s San Francisco or Phoenix office Wednesday and Thursday.

Monitor expiration of licenses, certification due dates, and other regulatory requirements.

Maintain records, compile information, and submit forms, applications, and bonds in order to keep all licenses up to date.

Assist with filing quarterly Mortgage Call Reports.

Assisting with regulatory examination requirements and third-party audit requirements related to state licenses and securities registrations.

Maintain entity-level organizational documents.

Assist in preparing and filing of SEC and “Blue Sky” securities registration applications

Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ of licensing experience

Experience with Nationwide Multistate Licensing System & Registry (NMLS)

Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, with superior written and verbal skills

Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple groups

Good judgment and excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Flexibility to prioritize, balance, and respond to competing needs within the organization

Financial services experience a strong plus

Experience working on compliance-related matters for an FDIC-insured depository institution, including experience dealing with federal financial statutes and regulations is a plus

$61,000 - $83,000 a year
Compensation details: The salary for this position is $61k - 83k annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
