Communications Lead

Description

An independent project supporting the Marketing of the Lido software protocol is seeking an experienced Communications Lead to oversee the communications strategy, drive brand awareness and enhance the public image. You will work closely with the marketing & product workstreams, to craft compelling narratives, manage media relations, and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Key Scope

• Communications Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the DAO’s goals and enhances market presence.

• Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with web3 and Tech media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage and positive publicity.

• Content Creation: Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including press releases, blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and more.

• Crisis Management: Manage crisis communication and develop plans to protect and enhance the protocol’s reputation during challenging times.

• Event Management: Coordinate with the Events team to manage Lido’s presence at industry events, conferences, and webinars to maximize visibility and engagement.

• Campaign Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, preferably within the DeFi, blockchain, or tech industry.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong media relations and storytelling abilities.

• Proficiency in using communication and analytics tools.

• Sound understanding of DeFi protocols, and the wider Ethereum Ecosystem.

• Long-term strategic thinking coupled with short-term problem-solving skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• Relevant Communications/ PR experience across Tech and specifically Web3 with proven results as a self-starter
