IT Help Desk Intern

As a Help Desk Intern at Lightcast, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the Information Technology team’s daily operations and projects. This career-level internship is designed for a motivated and enthusiastic individual pursuing a career in IT who wants to learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. 


*This is a part-time Internship and the selected candidate must reside in or near the Moscow, Idaho area. 


Major Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Support end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Helpdesk Operations: Assist with help desk ticket management, triage requests, and prioritize tasks.
  • System Administration: Participate in routine system maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Project Assistance: Collaborate with IT team members on various IT projects, offering support and assistance.
  • Learning and Development: Learn about IT technologies, systems, and industry best practices.
  • Client Interaction: Interact with internal clients to gather information and assist with technical requests.


Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in IT and a desire to pursue a career in the field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
