In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to achieve key business objectives and lead the strategic planning, direction and evaluation of marketing programs & plans that result in measurable business goals & drive market awareness of Lincoln’s products and services for our Group Protection and Retirement Plan products. You will provide thought leadership & oversite to ensure marketing effectiveness and that programs strategically achieve key business objectives of the enterprise.What you'll be doing• Partners & advises executive management & key sr business leaders on strategic new marketing approaches which enhance & maintain the competitive position in the marketplace• Oversees & leads the creation of related complex communications & marketing collateral, that support consistent enterprise core messaging & business goals• Ensures all marketing collateral content is accurate, relevant & consistent in terms of style, quality tone of voice, & which optimizes market awareness of Lincoln’s products &/or services• Builds relationships & partners with executive management and key senior business leaders to determine strategic marketing business goals & ensure all marketing tools, collaterals and programs/plans are in alignment with the business goals and objectives• Establishes, develops, & provides complex performance metrics and benchmarks to track & assess the effectiveness of marketing programs/plans to sr management &/or key senior business leaders• Ensures that all marketing collateral complies with all applicable regulatory requirements and is consistent with Lincoln editorial and branding standards• Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with executive/senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future strategies• Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent• Leads complex digital marketing projects from inception to execution including but not limited to: project planning, resource planning, change management and communications planning, managing changes to the project scope• Identify & recommend opportunities to leverage technology to streamline and/or enhance current marketing processes and platform functionality• Establish and maintain a standardized workflow for evaluating new marketing technology solutions ranging from minor to major complexityWhat we’re looking for• 12+ years’ experience in marketing that directly align with the specific responsibilities for this position• 5+ years of management, strategy and influencing senior management/critical stakeholders• 4 year/Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors)• Experience in financial services marketing, preferably Group protection and/or retirement products• Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations• Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills• Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior/executive management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches• Advocates effectively, readily command attention and respect in groups as demonstrated by people listening to and getting on board with initiativesApplication DeadlineApplications for this position will be accepted through August 26th, 2024, subject to earlier closure due to applicant volumeWhat’s it like to work here?At Lincoln Financial Group, we love what we do. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
