Liquid Production Intern

Liquid Production Intern at our Gastonia, NC location

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an intern, you will be assigned to one key project that you will manage during the internship. Results will be presented to the leadership team at the end of the internship program
Providing support to manufacturing/operations department
Develop improvement ideals concepts and present them to the leadership team
Work “hands-on” and spend time with co-workers to understand business processes and challenges
Be curious, willing to learn and to further develop supported by experienced colleagues

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

Actively pursuing Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any science or engineering related field in an accredited program
Current GPA 3.0 or better

Experience

Prior work experience in a manufacturing company is preferred, but not required

Required Skills:

Interested in manufacturing operations and improving Quality and throughput
Willing and able to work in a manufacturing environment with hourly and salary employees, including on the shop floor
Willingness to take responsibility for projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel. Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc)
Ability to collect and/or organize data to help guide decisions and drive improvement activity
Able to write and modify Work Instructions, data collection sheets, and work with appropriate teams to distribute
Ability to work in a team and independently
Eye towards innovation

Other:

While attending school: 15 - 20 weekly working hours (pay rate $15/hour)
While on break: 20 – 40 weekly working hours (pay rate $15/hour)
Internship duration is min. 6 months
Visa sponsorship is not available for internship positions
