About the Role:

Your strong eye for detail and commitment to smooth process execution will be instrumental in their operations. Bridge their global team as the liaison for their office in Mexico, all while reporting to the Chief People Officer based in Tampa and administering Payroll & HR tasks to the rest of the multi-state teams.
**This role is eligible for remote work one day per week after the training period.

What You'll Do- Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations in multiple states for a population of over 600 employees (and growing).
- Maintain time and attendance records; enter new hires into the payroll system; processes changes in pay, tax status, etc…
- Compute wages, overtime payments, payroll deductions, PTO payouts, and process terminations.
- Research, analyze and resolve payroll-related problems or questions.
- Maintain employee records and the HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow).
- Perform periodic data reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance and Sales on variable compensation processing.
- Assist HR Manager with leaves and employee accommodation when needed.
- Conduct audits to ensure that payroll is processed in accordance with applicable approvals, policies, procedures, practices, reporting requirements, regulations, and laws.
- Support HR Manager in the set up and administration of benefits, including open enrollment.
- Support HR Manager with Onboarding of new hires, offboarding of departing employees, and employee changes and maintenance.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits related inquiries.
Other Responsibilities- In addition to Payroll duties, you will also support the Talent Development department with daily operation, use and configuration of their learning management system (LMS).
- Work with the HR Teams in the administrative operations of the programs/assessments administered through the LMS (updating, uploading, login support, etc...)
- Assist in the implementation and process flow of merit increases, performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary reviews in the HRIS (ADP WorkforceNow).
- Collaborate with HR leadership to streamline HR processes, optimizing efficiency, accuracy, and overall engagement.
- Execute HR tasks related to employee onboarding, offboarding, and data maintenance.
- HR support and liaison for the Mexico office for HR-related matters.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for process and quality improvements.
Required Qualifications- Associate degree and any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrate the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the position.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
- 3-5 years of experience processing high-volume payrolls (500+ headcount).
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state payroll requirements, labor regulations, and benefits and wage and hour laws.
- Knowledge of integrated payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Proficient skills using Excel.
- Interest in learning about the HR Operations and eventually taking on more responsibilities related to new hire onboarding, benefits, and learning/development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Payroll-related auditing practices and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot, resolve technical issues and to gain new technical skills quickly.
- Strong skills in customer service, responsiveness, and time management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms.
- High integrity and an ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree.
- Knowledge of international employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Expertise in US multi-state and California payroll.
- 2+ years of experience in HR (or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience).
- Familiarity with COBRA and ERISA regulations.
