Our client is seeking an impactful and strategic Sr. HR Manager responsible for overseeing, developing, and executing HR strategies focused on staff development, training, management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee retention, performance, and engagement. To succeed, this Sr. HR Manager will need a flexible skill set, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations in an office environment and various work locations outside the administrative office. The Sr. HR Manager must be available to work in an office or worksite environment 5 days a week. This role is a full-time, exempt position, and will report to the CEO.
Day – To – Day Responsibilities: - Employment Lifecycle: own and oversee the employee lifecycle, from the hiring and onboarding process to termination and exits.
- Employee Experience: manage recruitment, interview training, background checks, E-Verify, benefits enrollment, ongoing training, annual performance reviews, and exit interviews.
- Compliance and Regulatory Support: monitor and partner with Legal counsel in communicating changes in labor laws; assist in updating employee handbook, company policies, legal posters and communication, and advising broader leadership team in HR best practices in filing employee documents; develop and maintain HR related filing process.
- Oversee annual compliance reporting as needed.
- Benefit Coordination: partner with benefits providers in reviewing client's benefits and costs; coordinate annual enrollment, 401k enrollment, and manage updates in client’s HRIS system; send monthly billing and process updates to necessary team members.
- Manage leaves of absence: Including but not limited to Workers Comp, FMLA, unemployment issues, garnishments, OSHA reports, etc.
- Employee Relations: Run point on employee relations issues, investigations, complaints, coaching, and performance conversations; provide HR recommendations on best practices pertaining to employee performance.
- Training and Development: Manage HR training, ongoing learning and development opportunities to promote employee engagement, retention, and internal mobility; oversee and manage performance review cycle, developing best practices for goal setting and performance tracking.
- Safety Training: Develop and launch necessary safety meetings and trainings, both in the office and at various worksites.
- Paycor updates and timecard approvals. Day-to-day upkeep of Paycor. Weekly payroll preparation.
- Weekly on-site visits: Visit and work at various work locations outside of the administrative office: warehouse, stores, and worksites.
- Partner with Finance team on ensuring employees are submitting timecards on a consistent basis; monitor, review, and provide HR oversight in employee time keeping; Finance team will be responsible for payroll management.
- Other HR administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications: - At least 5 years of experience in an HR Manager capacity.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization as an HRBP or HR Generalist for at least 2-3 years is highly preferred.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and/ or relevant HR certifications
- Experience and desire to work in an office environment.
- Comfortable with local travel and working from other worksites, including warehouses, retail stores, and worksites.
- Strong emotional intelligence, verbal and written communication skills, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to think strategically, and alignment client goals with day-to-day responsibility of driving a mission-focused organization forward.
Benefits and Compensation: - This position is eligible for full benefits and paid time off.
- Compensation is competitive to the local Southwest, non-profit market and will be commensurate with experience.
- Successful candidates must pass a background check, drug test, and have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive locally.
$65,000 - $75,000 a year
