CIEE is seeking Local Coordinators in your community to aid in supporting international students during their academic exchange year or semester.
Welcoming an international student gives a young person the opportunity to live like an American, experiencing rich academics and every aspect of social, extracurricular, and daily home life. This creates appreciation for our nation and pathways for cultural exchange.
In our global community, it’s more important than ever for American students to interact with and learn about people from diverse backgrounds. Exchange students bring new perspectives and opportunities for understanding that influence their American peers and leave a lasting impact on their schools and communities.
CIEE exchange students are smart, motivated, and ready to engage with their American peers—attributes that benefit any classroom. Each student arrives well prepared, with at least three years of English study and solid academic qualifications. The special connections international students make with teachers and classmates are what often leave the most indelible mark.
