About the role

In this position, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with Eugene and Timon, the founders of Locals, to craft visual experiences for our users. Your responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of creative and oversight duties, aimed at shaping and maintaining the visual identity of our brand.

Here's a structured overview of your key roles:

  1. Advertising and Promotional Campaigns: You will lead the creation of innovative concepts for our advertising and promotional efforts, ensuring each campaign resonates with our target audience while staying true to our brand ethos.

  2. Visual Tone of Voice Development: Crafting and refining our brand's visual tone of voice, you will guide how our identity is communicated visually across various platforms and mediums.

  3. Visual Consistency Across Brand Materials: It's crucial to maintain a coherent visual presentation across all materials. You'll ensure every piece aligns with our brand's visual standards.

  4. Visual Language for Communities: Designing distinctive visual languages for communities in major cities like London, Dubai, New York, and Los Angeles.

  5. Merchandise Production Oversight: From concept to execution, you'll oversee merchandise production, ensuring every item reflects our brand's values and aesthetic appeal.

  6. Brand Identity and Guardianship: Acting as a guardian of the brand, you will oversee and protect our identity across all channels, including web, apps, and social media marketing, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presentation.

  7. Graphic Design: By creating a range of graphical elements, such as banners, posters, and social media graphics, you will ensure that each design piece communicates our brand's message effectively.

  8. Visual Content Creation: You'll produce engaging visual content, including illustrations, infographics, and videos, that embodies our brand's values and communicates our message to the audience.

  9. Cross-functional collaboration: Working closely with teams across the organization, you'll ensure that visual elements are integrated cohesively into brand communications and campaigns, enhancing the overall brand experience.

This role demands a creative visionary with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, a keen eye for detail, and the capability to maintain the integrity of the brand's visual identity across all touchpoints.

Key Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional digital design experience.

  • English Fluency.

  • Strong Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator experience and skills from the current Adobe Creative Suite; related design and production software.

  • An online portfolio of work demonstrating your competency.

  • Great interpersonal, verbal/written communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Natural ability to have fun : )

  • Ability to take initiative and seek mentorship and input from others.
