IT Help Desk Support Technician

Lochmueller Group is seeking an IT Help Desk Support Technician to join our IT Department in our Indianapolis office. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service-related experience and be willing and eager to learn. • Monitor, work and escalate IT support-related tickets, mainly in the following areas:
• Remote connectivity issues (VPN, RDP, SSO/MFA)
• PC/printer hardware & software problems
• Typical office productivity applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Adobe PDF, etc.
• Logins and password resets for Active Directory, SSO/MFA, and various applications & websites
• System/application/file share access requests and permission issues
• Mobile device issues or training/assisting with basic use
• Image/rebuild new workstations & laptops and deploy to end users
• Create, review, and revise documentation as processes and procedures evolve over time 

• General knowledge of PC maintenance
• Research/troubleshooting skills
• Strong customer services skills: Friendly, patient, courteous, respectful, & humble
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to identify the appropriate communication method (phone vs email vs text) for the situation
• Open & inviting to walk-ups
• Ability to explain technical concepts at a level appropriate to your audience
• Ability to take good notes and follow detailed instructions
• Organized, self-motivated, & fast learner
• Ability to prioritize and track multiple projects/tasks efficiently and manage time effectively
• Understanding of limitations and when to ask for help
• Familiar with PC/monitor/docking station connectivity & cable types
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications, both on-prem & in the cloud (Office365)
• Must possess & maintain a valid/active Driver's License as this position will require travel between offices
• Ability to lift and move servers/workstations/boxes weighing up to 25 lbs
