Position Summary

The Lock Desk Analyst plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s Secondary Marketing function. The role is primarily responsible, under direct direction, for performing lock desk activities and trade/lock analytics.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze trade and lock activities to help derive optimal pricing and trading strategies.
  • Develop ad hoc reports in a timely manner by using Motivity, SQL, Tableau and other reporting tools.
  • Assist the manager on projects and initiatives by analyzing data and providing reports.
  • Create and manage reporting book sets to support trade, delivery and lock activities.
  • Create templates and models as requested by the manager.
  • Support technology and corporate efficiency initiatives to streamline Secondary Marketing activities.
  • Work directly with sales force on establishing pricing, locking, and policies related to mortgage loans.
  • Perform day-to-day lock desk responsibilities.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of loan programs and guidelines.
  • Reconcile pricing and execution on service-released loans (Flow, Direct Trade, AOT, Pool).
  • Participate in the creation of training materials and job aids to ensure the distribution of technical knowledge throughout team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Entry level position; Secondary Marketing experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Tableau and Microsoft SQL knowledge preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to company values.

Requirements

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; occasionally walks and/or stands.


Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.


Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.


Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Target Salary Range: $23.36 - $35.00

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.
