We're seeking an IT Network Engineer to join our team.The WorkCandidate will be part of the Cyber and Platforms (CAP) information technology team on the Command and Control Battle Management Communications (C2BMC) program, and assist the senior system administrators and government network subject matter experts with the management and sustainment of network components supporting associated support networks.Who You AreKnowledge of network architecture, engineering, design, implementation, and testing. Understanding of network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls. Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis and troubleshooting experience.Basic Qualifications:• Must currently hold an active DoD Secret Security Clearance to be considered for this position, this requires U.S. Citizenship.• Must meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification with any of the following certifications (Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)• Experience with network communication protocols and network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) and IP network troubleshooting• Basic knowledge of network testing methodologies using routers, switches, and firewalls• Knowledge of TCP/IP behavior, network communications and routing protocols, network traffic analysis and troubleshooting experienceDesired Skills:• Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers• Familiarity with network communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption productsSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
