This requisition is for an Accounting Lead position within Lockheed Martin’s Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) business area. This position will assist the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) Line of Business within RMS and is expected to successfully support monthly accounting responsibilities, accounting analysis, and provide technical accounting guidance with multiple, simultaneous assignments, deadlines, priorities, and tasks. Responsibilities consistently require an attention to detail, technical analysis, communication, and a level of independent organization and prioritization of responsibilities is expected. The position responsibilities include:
• Assist with the month-end close process, providing analysis and review of journal entries, perform working capital analysis, account reconciliations, inventory analysis, and reserve analysis.
• Assist with preparing quarterly and year-end accounting templates.
• Identify areas for accounting and financial reporting enhancements to existing accounting-related processes to generate efficiencies and improve analysis.
• Collaborate with program finance to research and provide guidance to properly account for complex transactions, including the EAC/CSR process and net investment analysis.
• Actively interface with members of the Ernst & Young audit team by responding to inquiries and providing requested support timely.
• Assist with digital transformation initiatives to improve current financial reporting processes.
• Ensure appropriate internal controls are adhered to across the accounting functions.
• Assist with accounting-related special projects and other financial reporting duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience researching, interpreting, and applying US GAAP principles
• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and Hyperion software
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years of industry experience, 1 years of public company audit experience, or a combination thereof
• Aerospace and Defense/Government contracting experience
• Experience working at a large publicly traded company and/or public company audit experience
• Active CPA license or CPA eligible
• Audit support experience
• A passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement
• An ability to build consensus and relationships at all levels

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $58,200 - $111,600 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
