Description:The Aero IT Solutions Architect sets the overall technology direction of the product/group by leveraging common architectural patterns, building, and maintaining a future-state blueprint of product architecture, and sponsoring innovation. Collaborates across Enterprise IT and the Business Functions to understand business needs and objectives. Ensures the solutions support all LOBs and satisfy business direction. Defines overarching technical guidance for the solution and coordinates definition of architecture across all Experience Groups. Works with the Domain Architects to ensure solutions align with overall architecture and guidelines.Solution architect position to define how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different data entities and IT systems, as well as any applications using or processing that data in some way. Design and implement data solutions by defining database physical and virtual structures and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications; Perform data modeling, data architecture map, data governance for data at rest. Work through all stages of a data solution lifecycle, e.g., analyze / profile data, create conceptual, logical and physical data model designs, architect and design ETL, reporting and analytics; Ensures that an organization follows a formal data standard and that its data assets are in line with the defined data architecture and/or with the goals of the business; Maintains metadata registry, oversees data management, optimizes databases and/or all data sources; Forward looking to future data management techniques and processesBasic Qualifications:- Communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders- Data modelling, including data lifecycle modelling- Demonstrated experience in leading the design, development, and operation of data platforms and big data technologies- Experience in cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform- Familiarity with data analytics tools, such as CP4D, Tableau, Power BI, or similar- Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practicesDesired Skills:- Extensive understanding of data integration, star and normal form relational database design, schema definition and evolution, and schema on read strategies- Data profiling and quality techniques- Deep understanding of modern data storage architecture such as data warehousing, data lakes, structural databases and NoSQL technologies- Experience harmonizing systems, processes, and/or data across business areas and functions- Experience building and communicating technical and functional roadmaps glossary platformsClearance Level: NoneOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $125,900 - $237,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
