Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly analytical Operations Research Analyst to join our Operations Analysis (OA) team within the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) business area. In this role, you will apply your strong analytical skills and operations research expertise to support critical modeling and simulation development work. You will play a key role in shaping and impacting the future of the warfighter by applying quantitative methods and operations research techniques to complex military problems.Position Overview:As part of the OA organization, you will support Operations Analysis studies through sophisticated modeling, simulation, and analysis of military systems. These studies quantify the impact of new operational concepts (CONOPS), system design variants, payloads, weapons, tactics, and force size/mix on survivability and mission effectiveness. You will leverage your analytical expertise to transform study concepts into effective models or simulations, providing crucial analysis for requirements definition, CONOPS evaluation, operational and cost-effectiveness studies, and military utility assessments.Key Responsibilities:• Apply operations research techniques to develop and execute studies by creating and refining analysis and study tools.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define performance objectives and ensure alignment with mission goals.• Conduct research on military systems performance, operations, and effectiveness.• Model complex military systems and scenarios using AFSIM and other advanced Modeling & Simulation tools.• Develop tools and methodologies to quantify and analyze Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs) and Measures of Performance (MOPs).• Create simulation plug-ins and analytical reports that enable stakeholders to draw meaningful conclusions.• Prepare and present detailed reports and briefings on analytical findings, developmental hurdles, and project milestones.• Support cross-Lockheed Martin business area constructive digital simulations, virtual reconstructive events, or wargaming activities.Candidate Expectations:The selected candidate will work closely with Study Leads and management, providing analytical solutions to a variety of technical problems. You will be expected to stay current on industry trends, apply best practices in operations research, and actively engage with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals.Basic Qualifications:-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other technical degree-Knowledge of C++, Python, R, Excel VBA and/or constructive simulation tools.-Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
