Job Description
1. Delivery supplies/packages to clinical departments as assigned by the shift supervisor.
  • Assist in the staging of supplies from central supply to prepare for floor delivery.
  • Accurately evaluate delivery locations, bin locations of all assigned item and put away product in a
timely fashion.
  • Support urgent deliveries in assigned areas or as assigned by shift supervisor.
2. Picking Procedures with central supply
  • Ensure all assigned pick tickets are picked accurately and timely; only pick inventory utilizing system
generated pick tickets.
  • Ensure all inbound is received & put away in proper inventory locations.
  • Utilize proper staging areas for both inbound & outbound inventory.
3. Responds to customer service requests in a timely and expedited fashion.
  • Alerts supervisor/team lead when a customer service request is unable to be fulfilled, or customer is
unhappy.
  • When assigned answer any customer phone calls with a solution oriented ton & response.
  • Ensure customer receives either a resolution or update within the hour.
4. Communicates with supervisor regularly regarding problems and all major activities.
5. As needed & assigned/trained fills in for other duties across the supply chain operations team.
6. When assigned, is available for periodic cycle counting events.
7. Maintains order and cleanliness in the areas worked and the areas serviced by ensuring proper allocation of space, arrangement of items, and timely removal of unnecessary items.
8. Observes and enforces departmental and general hospital policies and procedures, particularly relating to the practice of safety and security measures.
  • Conducts and/or attends in-service training programs as directed by supervisor.
9. Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and safe use of materials handling equipment, both manual and powered is required.
10. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
11. Other job functions as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. High school level of course work with attainment of a high school diploma or equivalency.
2. A minimum of two years work experience performing logistic related functions is preferred.
3. Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform limited mathematical operations.
4. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
