Logistics Team - Entry Level

This position will act as a logistics team member by supporting inventory control and or warehouse/shipping areas.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Perform various tasks for logistics department under close supervision, which may include any of the following:
- Fill, pack, wrap, protect, consolidate, and arrange orders according to instructions
- Safely operate various warehouse equipment in order to assist with moving product
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks
- Ensure shop floor is supplied with required parts and material
- Assist with cycle counts
- Record entry of finished products for corresponding warehouse
- Work with various departments to ensure availability of requested parts and materials
- Distribute parts and materials to helicopter technicians and production areas as required.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements, production standards, and Textron Business Conduct guidelines
- May provide reports and status updates to manager and interested parties as required
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Position Requirements:
0-2 years of experience related to job duties
Skills/Certifications:
Basic competence in Logistics computer systems (ex. MS Office, Visual ERP or Equivalent)
Demonstrated understanding of basic measurements and measuring equipment
Ability to operate a forklift safely
Attention to detail
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work 3x12 shift Friday-Sunday
Ability to work overtime as required
Ability to wear all required PPE specific to job duties
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis
Ability to operate computer, to include keyboard, mouse, and software related to job duties
Ability to work in environment with exposure to various chemicals, dust and odors, and various machine heat cycles (applicable to teams that support AA Manufacturing operations)
