An Associate of Arts degree from a recognizedtwo year college or 60 semester or equivalent quarter units from arecognized college or university is preferred.Experience: Two years of clerical experience performing customerservice activities in a District school or office. Experience in interpreting,applying, and explaining District policies and practices, rules andregulations, and procedures is preferable.Employment Selection Process Please be sure to include correspondence from @lausd.net as anapproved sender so that messages aren't accidentally placed into yourspam/junk e-mail folder.The employment selection process for Office Technician consists of acomputerized performance assessment, computerized data entry testand a scored questionnaire.TESTING PROCESS:The computer-based assessment is a common assessment for severalclassification within the clerical series. Therefore, if you have applied andrecently tested for this position and/or other clerical positions and havenot met the 30 days re-take policy, you may not be able to re-test. Wewill certify your prior scores. Even if you take the test, the scores will beinvalid.The computerized performance assessment (Skill Check) will assessyour proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and computerizeddata entry skills. There is an additional test computerized test componentthat will assess customer service skills.You will be invited to take these assessments online and testing will beconducted remotely and all applications will be required to submit aCandidate Confidentiality Form prior to testing.
