Brand Marketing Strategist

The brand marketing strategist owns, develops, and supports a range of dynamic brand marketing projects to support visibility, reputation, and engagement goals for LMU. The incumbent oversees cross-functional campaigns and rollout plans, working closely with colleagues and clients, and stewarding brand projects from inception to successful completion. The role is both a strategist and a project manager; it requires familiarity with a range of digital, traditional, and experiential marketing tactics, keen attention to detail, and a collaborative work style.Brand Marketing CampaignsCreate and drive 360 marketing plans for key brand marketing campaigns, initiatives, activations, and events. Write cross-functional project briefs, creative briefs, and communication plans. Coordinate cross-functionally with experts in PR, social media, web, creative, communications, external relations, advertising and others to lead integrated marketing planning across the division and the university on assigned projects.• * Project Management: Manage workflows to ensure projects are completed on time and meet desired objectives. Establish timelines, assign and manage tasks in LMU's project management system, lead cross-functional status meetings, and monitor related budgets.• Insights and Reporting: Use data and research to inform briefs and marketing plans. Develop KPIs for brand marketing projects. Collaborate with Research and Insights to prepare post-project recap reports with key metrics and insights. Make recommendations for improving brand marketing strategy.• Campaign support: Provide tactical project support to the division's largest initiatives, in collaboration with Marketing and Brand Management leadership.Loyola Marymount University ExpectationsExhibit behavior that supports the mission, vision, and values of the university. The incumbent must have the ability to initiate ideas, develop concepts and review the effectiveness of processes to ensure professional standards and high quality. The incumbent has the ability to assess the needs of internal clients and suggest appropriate measures to meet those needs or redirect those requests to the appropriate areas. The incumbent is able to work effectively and independently with internal and external constituencies. The incumbent has the ability to operate in an environment in which skilled relationship management and consensus-building is required to deliver successful outcomes.Requisite QualificationsTypically, a bachelor• 's degree or equivalent experience. Incumbent is expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of discipline related trends and regulation/policy changes.• Minimum of 4 years experience in marketing and communications.• Experience overseeing multi-channel communication plans and marketing campaigns.• Experience successfully collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.• Ability to synthesize highly complex information into the formulation of clear creative and project briefs.• Ability to produce high-quality deliverables with meticulous attention to detail.• A metrics-driven orientation and with proven analytical skills.• Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, timelines, and budgets in a fast-paced environment.• Collaborative work style with the ability to build and maintain broad relationships and influence cross-functional team members.• Strong presentation and public speaking skills preferred.• Experience in education or social impact sectors preferred.Reasonable Expected Salary - $75,000 - $78,000.
