Architectural Design Coordinator

LPA is seeking a passionate Architectural Design Coordinator to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with team members across studios on projects that are both local and across California and Texas. Our clients are both public and private and represent nine different market segments so your career can take many different trajectories. Examples of projects we've completed in Austin include Casis Elementary School and General Marshall Middle School.

What you will do:

  • You will be living and breathing the project from inception to completion and be able to turn your hand to all aspects of the project

  • The Design Coordinator will assist Project Architects, Project Designers and Project Managers in the execution of specific assignments

  • Prepare documentation and oversee documentation for design development and construction documents

  • Review and process construction administration documents

  • Organize research for product and construction methods related to projects

  • Mentor-ship from project leaders and managing directors, provide mentorship to junior designers

Design Coordinator Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture

  • 5+ years of experience in all phases of architectural projects

  • Actively pursuing architectural license (or already licensed) and LEED accreditation

  • Proficiency in Revit. Good knowledge of Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

  • Knowledge of building codes, related regulations construction materials and specifications preferred

  • Demonstrate independence, innovation, and vision with program, project design, and implementation

  • Commitment to pursue high quality construction documents
