Lumin Digital is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst, in a fully remote role. The Analyst will be a key player driving the firm’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function. The Analyst is responsible for performing periodic planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting, as well as developing key performance indicators measuring the financial health of the firm and various departments. In addition, he or she will review past and current financial performance against budgeted estimates, and develop models that assist management in understanding the financial impact of business decisions. The Analyst will work with the CFO, Director FP&A, as well as executive leadership, to advise on financial decisions and drive efficiency.


The ideal candidate has strong leadership and relationship-building capabilities; effective written/verbal communication skills; can manage, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced work environment; has an intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic; and takes pride in his/her role in the firm. This candidate will play a key role in supporting the tremendous growth of the company. This position reports to the Director, FP&A.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 


Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models (including 3 statement financial statements) to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts. Collaborate with the CFO, Director FP&A, and department heads, to ensure alignment with company goals.

Analysis & Reporting: Perform detailed variance analysis, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership. Prepare monthly, and annual budget versus actual reports.

Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the financial health of the firm and its departments. Develop dashboards and reporting tools to communicate financial performance.

Strategic Support: Provide financial analysis and support for strategic projects, including capital raise initiatives, capital investment decisions, and market expansion opportunities.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A and reporting function.

Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Sales, Technical Delivery, and Product, to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment on business objectives.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES 


5+ years of experience in FP&A or a similar role, preferably with experience in a growing SaaS or a publicly traded technology company.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial information into a narrative that enables decision-making.

Collaborative attitude and the ability to establish solid partnerships and build consensus at all levels of the organization.

Willingness to disrupt the status quo to create positive change and improve the impact of FP&A.

Exceptional financial modeling skills with an ability to create sustainable and reliable models to enable better understanding and decision-making.

Critical thinking, problem-solving, and inquisitiveness coupled with a desire to continuously learn new skills.

An ability to make decisions and move forward with limited information - an ability to “operate in the gray”

Knowledge of Google Sheets, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Excel, and Oracle, as well as visualization tools and BI tools a plus


EDUCATION 


Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any other quantitative field required. Nice to have a Master’s Degree in these fields or relevant professional qualifications.


$115,000 - $125,000 a year
