The role:


The Webmaster serves as the primary contact for all aspects of Lumin’s website(s), managing arrange of responsibilities that includes web design and development, routine site and content maintenance, and updates and A/B testing to ensure the site aligns with the strategic goals. In addition, this role will serve as lead on SEO efforts, analyzing the website - including site structure, page structure, and internal linking structure – and make recommendations to further optimize each area. 


You'll be responsible for:
  • Serving as the primary contact for all aspects of company websites, including creation and updating of pages.
  • Developing and maintaining internet and intranet portals, forms, and structures in accordance with the organization’s needs; collaborates closely with marketing, HR, tech support, sales, operations and product teams as well as leadership to provide guidance on SEO and optimal user experience.
  • Encouraging and facilitating consistent, creative, and unified web design across the organization’s web properties.
  • Monitoring, collecting and analyzing web analytics and similar data; identifies opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), time on site, web traffic, and other relevant metrics.
  • Assisting with drafting, defining, and implementing unified SEO strategies and
  • Campaigning that will drive long-term, sustainable site traffic.
  • Analyzing SEO traffic metrics such as search engine referrals and keyword
  • rankings.
  • Maintaining and documenting ownership of company’s internet domains.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; software licenses; and applicable state and federal laws and regulations including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws.
  • Conducting A/B tests and other performance measures to test effectiveness of marketing messages and promotions.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, SEO and technology.
  • Maintaining communication with team members and supervisors concerning the direction of the website.
  • Performing routine site audits, as well as ongoing maintenance, on an as-needed basis.


What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; coursework  in digital media, web design, and/or computer programming highly preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of website management, analytics, design, and SEO best practices and standards.
  • Working knowledge of web content management systems, applications, and tools used by the organization.
  • Highly proficient with HTML/CSS; working knowledge of XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages. Familiarity with SharePoint, TypeForms and Salesforce.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in solar, storage, clean energy, electrification or grid services is a plus.

This role will be expected to make one monthly trip to the Charlottesville Office, in coordination between the employee and manager.


The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000-$156,000 + equity + benefits. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands, and years of experience. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
