LSSI is hiring a full-time SASS Counselor/Case Manager-Mobile Crisis. To screen children and adults for psychiatric hospitalization and provide intensive short term services to ensure stabilization.
Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday, hours vary.

Essential Functions:
- Assess children, Adolescents, and/or adults in psychiatric crisis for hospitalization and facilitate hospitalization at location of need.
- Provide crisis counseling and coordination to help stabilize current psychiatric crisis if client does not meet criteria for inpatient hospitalization.
- Maintain client record in the electronic health record in accordance with licensure and accreditation standards.
- Certification in IM CAT and/or IM CANS.
- HFS required trainings (De-escalation, Crisis Safety Planning, Mobile Crisis).
- Provide training to new staff on mobile crisis screening events as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social service field, Master’s degree preferred.
- Ability to work with clients in the community.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must pass a State of Illinois criminal and DCFS background check.
- Valid driver's' license, proof of valid vehicle insurance, and access to a fully insured vehicle.
