About this Role


The Payroll Lead will be responsible for full-cycle payroll of approximately 600 employees with an increasing number over the next year. The Payroll Lead will undertake all elements of payroll, from inputting employee data, processing payroll on a semi-monthly basis, funding 401k deferrals and loans, registering for state and local related taxes, and other special projects as necessary. The Payroll Lead will also help as a point of contact for various internal and external payroll inquiries.The Payroll Lead will assist the Payroll Manager with providing payroll related advice, guidance and support to all employees and managers for Lyra Clinical. Furthermore the right candidate has worked for a rapidly scaling company.


Responsibilities


  • Own full cycle semi-monthly payroll processing
  • Point of contact for all employee payroll related queries 
  • Oversee time tracking system and provide support for employees
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with providing payroll related advice, guidance and support all employees and managers.
  • Assist the Payroll Manager in ensuring compliance with multi-state payroll tax registrations
  • Work with internal partners in the People team to facilitate and improve the payroll processes, including leave of absence, employee benefits, 401(k), FSA
  • Maintain proper payroll records for audit purposes. Help with the regular preparation of all relevant payroll reports to internal partners
  • Create and maintain payroll process documentation
  • Complete audits of benefit deductions from payroll.
  • Support the Benefits Team to reconcile various benefit deductions. 
  • Support the Leaves Team to ensure proper leave payments in payroll
  • Provide backup for Payroll Manager and review payroll for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain confidential information when required by legal or ethical standards and professionalism to ensure the privacy of employee records.


Qualifications


  • Workday Payroll experience is required
  • Minimum of 6 years experience in payroll processing
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and to deal tactfully with business partners and employees when explaining the functions and policies of Payroll
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on excellence
  • Great team player with a collaborative mindset towards the team
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive towards aggressive deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills, including Excel skills and demonstrated ability to analyze and present data
  • Inspire employee confidence with a strong level of customer service focus
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Thoughtfulness, flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Understanding of federal and state labor lawsStrong knowledge of Payroll systemHealthcare and/or startup related experience is a plus


$95,000 - $146,000 a year


As a full-time Payroll Lead, you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 - $146,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
