Hasty was created by machine learning engineers who want to fix everything wrong with Vision AI services currently on the market. For us, the primary metric is to get utility out of machine learning in the real world.
In our team, you will be building models that help humans annotate faster with as little data as possible. You will also work on abstracting away the complexities of AI for normal people, so you need very good in-depth knowledge of most computer vision AI techniques.
Some topics that are relevant for us include:
Learning from minimal data
Model optimization
Uncertainty estimation for cleaning data
Deploying models
Digging through academic research and figuring out how to turn theories into reality
We offer you the opportunity to work on the cutting edge of AI in a startup environment, where you help us build a product from the ground up while being part of the core team with a voice in what we should do next.
Hasty is a Vision AI company helping humans teach machines to see the world. Based in Berlin, Hasty supports Vision AI practitioners by developing best-in-class annotation tools supported by a community of machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software developers. Hasty‘s next-generation annotation tool labels data in one-tenth the time through self-learning AI-assistants and agile machine learning that provides rapid feedback so engineers can validate and adapt models as they work.
We are a tech-driven team that has developed into a band of misfits, made up of individuals who are all slightly strange in the best way. We are passionate about the nuanced interplay of great usability and hardcore tech. The exploration of these nuances with a team of uniquely brilliant people has driven Hasty to the position it is in today.

Experience working in computer vision
Fluent in Python and writing production ready code
Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
End-to-end experience bringing ML models to production or building ML pipelines
Extras that would be great to have:
Familiar with model deployments to edge devices
Experience with model optimization techniques or TensorRT
Experience using Golang
Comfortable with SQL databases
Knowledgeable about docker/kubernetes
Competitive package with equity and a sizeable learning budget that you can spend as you wish to develop yourself
A real problem to solve with the potential of having a real impact on the world around us
A dynamic startup environment with flat hierarchies
Workplace flexibility - Home-office, remote, adjustable working hours - we place our trust in you being the best person to plan your workweek
Get your voice heard in one of our planning workshops or pitch your idea on what to do next during our planning meetings and be part of what we should build next
A great place for the intellectually curious, as we are working with smart people all over the globe
Hasty is a Vision AI company helping humans teach machines to see the world. Based in Berlin, with a hybrid team spanning Europe and Asia, Hasty supports Vision AI practitioners by developing best-in-class end-to-end vision AI tooling supported by a community of machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software developers.
Today, we are helping organizations big and small with implementing vision AI into production faster, quicker, and with less risk of failure than if they use traditional tooling.
Our goal is to make state-of-the-art machine learning accessible to all. By combining cutting-edge technology with a focus on usability, we hope to continue enabling the adoption of vision AI technology.
Annotating data is an expensive hassle that nonetheless is the backbone of almost all applications of AI today. We are trying to take away some of that pain by assisting and automating to as high a degree as possible the process of labelling image...
