POSITION OVERVIEW

The Machine Learning Engineer I is responsible for developing and optimizing machine learning algorithms for Gentex products. The Machine Learning Engineer I will contribute to the development, and improvement of Gentex technology by engaging in research and development, testing, and evaluation of novel technologies, processes, and/or applications, with an emphasis on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Algorithm Development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Develop and optimize machine learning algorithms for Gentex products across Automotive, Aerospace, Fire Protection and Medical Applications.
Identify ways to utilize team skills to improve the efficiency of Gentex processes throughout product development and manufacturing.
Maintain state-of-the-art expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and associated software programming.
Collaborate with various Software Development teams to create and implement algorithms in Gentex products and concepts.
Evaluate and test existing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning applications and hardware solutions.
Contribute to the process of data collection, analysis, and evaluation of results.
Assist/contribute to other groups utilizing Machine Learning for product development or process improvements.
Develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING

Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering or Science in a field related to Machine Learning.
A working understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques.
Experience with techniques including regression, classification, and deep learning.
Experience with all aspects of workflow including data collection, grading, model training, and evaluation.
