The Punch Quality Operator helps to set up and operate the Punch Press Machine by cutting out the plastic sheets into card form. The operation supplies the stamping processes with cards for further operation.
Hourly rate - $20.75

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

Reads and interprets the shop floor router and workmanship manual as well as applicable specifications.

Understands the location and function of all emergency stops on the machine.

Sets up the Punch Press machine to punch in accordance with the specifications on the Proof and Finishing Ticket.

Records all measurements of one card from each cavity in the applicable space on the Finishing Ticket after punch is set up to spec.

The candidate must have basic skills required to operate technical machinery. They must be able to use a caliper and other hand tools.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (written and verbal), ability to write simple report, ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand up to 10 hours a shift and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10 pound sleeves of cards. They will be required to move roll around carts which may weigh up to 100 pounds. Good vision required for this job and this includes close vision and color vision.

In executing some functions of the job, the employee is required to reach above and away from their body and bend, twist, and/or squat. While performing this job, the employee will execute repetitive motions with their arms and hands.
