PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating plant Equipment as required / directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product.


Task and Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates production machinery and/or mobile equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Maintain and operate with hand and power tools.
  • Perform physical labor requirements.
  • Perform regular and basic preventative maintenance checks and tasks.
  • Maintain required paperwork and documentation of all work performed on equipment as outlined in preventative maintenance program.
  • Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.
  • Model and lead our Notrak Blue culture and values: (Respect, Responsibility, Curiosity, Courage, Passion, and Diversity).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
  • Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 20-25 pounds, occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Hearing abilities related to job assigned.

Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)

  • High School graduate or GED preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or assembly line is an asset.
  • Experience in operating machinery and / or mobile equipment.
  • Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.
  • Must be able to work as a team member collaborating with colleagues.
  • Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Working Location:

  • Spokane, Washington

Salary:

  • $19.57/hr (will increase to $22.46/hr over 15 months)
