CoWorx Staffing is looking for a Manual Machinist for one of our top clients in Manufacturing. This position is a permanent full time role with benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders.
2. Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
3. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
4. Set-up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
5. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
6. Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
7. Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
8. Complies with all quality policies, procedures, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Job Requirements:
1. U.S. citizenship required.
2. Minimum high school diploma or GED. Machining certification a plus.
3. Must have experience with machining processes, blueprint reading and measurement tools.
4. Ability to lift and handle up to 25 lbs. daily.
5. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
At least five years in working with manual machines.
Perm Role $25-30 an hour DOE
7am-3:30 pm or 8:00-4:00pm
