Group Summary

About the Role

This role will directly support our Novi Seating Purchasing organization. This role will focus on leveraging business knowledge of our internal systems, the processes within, and how those processes impact the data that is then used for reporting and analytics.

Responsibilities as a Supply Chain Analyst include being very knowledgeable of processes within the company, helping to decide when and how those should change specifically from the perspective of data integrity and continuity, and intimately knowing the data of each commodity within the business. There will also be heavy involvement in the planning, staging, and implementation of new data points.


Your Responsibilities


  • Help with integration SAP Price Upload Tool and Power BI Reports into business process.
  • Manage and development of Purchase Price Variance Report.
  • Maintain commodity index tracker with all updates.
  • Work with our Team in India on report development.
  • Maintain tracking device for savings and increases, working with Buyers on all items to ensure accuracy.
  • Liaison with Plant Controllers ensuring accuracy of business plan and forecasting data.
  • Help to develop standard processes and develop tracking systems for the Purchasing group
  • Putting new procedures in place to support Purchasing
  • Support development, training, and guidance of best practices for SAP, reports and analytics for buying groups.
  • Assist & train buying groups in development of analytical tools and analysis.
  • Assist in standardization of all financial related aspects across groups.
  • Analyze vendor list to eliminate excess vendors
  • Analyze different cost saving trends
  • Assist Buyers to supply data for commodity strategies
  • Data validation in various ERP systems including SAP
  • Support with SAP module launch with daily data monitoring and technical issues
  • Support with vendor creation in SAP
  • Standardize the cost break drown sheet for buyers to utilize
  • Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of large data sets.
  • Apply your skills and analytical mindset by simplifying technical requirements and trends, based on audience.
  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
  • Apply data visualization through different formats such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Aid in various analysis duties as required
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Supports Internal / External Audit efforts regarding ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 Certification for remote site location (Group Office).
  • Supports the requirements as detailed in Standard Operating Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System).
  • Ensure employees work in the manner consistent with the organizations established objectives and targets utilizing protective equipment, devices, measures, and procedures as promulgated by state and federal regulations. Establish clear goals for workplace health and safety. Complete safety talks, safety meetings, and required training occur, as defined.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or an Operations Management related field strongly preferred.


Experience/Special Knowledge/Skills

  • Minimum 2-3+ years in an analytical role (data, financial or other)
  • Above average Excel skills required.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP system.
  • Working understanding of analytical decision-making.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Working knowledge of corporate budget processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized, with proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks


Physical Demands/Work Environment

Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer, may require travel.
