Position Summary

Maintain grounds around the facility to include lawn care (watering, fertilizing, aerating and trimming), shrubs (watering and trimming), trees (watering and trimming), maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems, parking lot cleaning, and other duties as required.

Position Responsibilities

Responsible for lawn, shrubs, and tree care – 70%

Responsible for maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems – 15%

Responsible for parking lot cleaning – 10%

Other duties as required – 5%

• Maintaining buildings and grounds in top condition
• Maintain exterior facility clean up tool shed.
• Weed Control (inside and outside perimeter)

Position Requirements

• High school diploma
• Prior gardening and grounds keeping experience.
• Know how and when to apply fertilizers and other law nourishment agents.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, department leads and supervisors.
• Work overtime as required.
• Work weekends
• Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
• Ability to work in fast paced or noisy environment.
• Ability to wear all PPE and follow Safety Regulations

• Chain Saw
• Rototillers
• Aerators
• Shovels
• Pruning shears
• Pump sprayer

The pay for this role in the state of CA is $17.22/hr. and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
