Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented, experienced individual to join our company as a Maintenance Planner & Scheduler. As part of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing work requests, evaluating scope, allocating resources, and working with impacted teams to schedule associated activities in a way that avoids costly downtime and interruptions to business operations while ensuring optimized use of our labor and material resources using a computerized maintenance management system (AMMS). Additionally, you will enhance processes across the site, working closely with all departments to determine needs, schedules, and priorities for maintenance personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Effectively communicates with all area equipment owners, supervisors, craftsmen, and internal customers to ensure all preventive, predictive and non-emergency corrective maintenance is planned to maximize craft time utilization and minimize downtime to operations.
Forecasting PM work and properly load balancing daily workload allotment based on available labor and material resources.
Create maintenance job plans for all preventative, predictive, and non-emergency corrective maintenance, showing the sequence of steps required, required materials/tools, number of man hours required, safety precautions, required PPE, GMP, Food Safety etc., needed to successfully schedule and complete each job.
Creates, develops, changes, updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure Management of Change (MOC), as required.
Responsible for CMMS as it pertains to workflow procedures for the work order and preventative/predictive maintenance processes, physical asset structure and preserving equipment history. In addition to, equipment records and data accuracy.
Owns the Maintenance Inventory Management process interface with the Store Room and assist in kitting parts for work orders.
Responsible for spot buy (non-inventory items) purchasing required for completion of maintenance activities.
Manages, reviews and report work backlog to management regularly to drive on-time completion of all work requests and predictive/preventive maintenance tasks to ensure 100% compliance.
Works closely with Project Managers to determine availability of maintenance crafts to assist in delivery of new assets and capital projects.
Measurement of Position Performance
The planner/scheduler is measured in the performance of his/her duties and execution of assigned responsibilities by:
1. Timely preparation of scheduled maintenance work
2. Planned vs. Reactive Work Completed
3. Contracted work schedule compliance
4. Accuracy of CMMS records for works orders, PMs & inventory management
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient/Advanced knowledge of CMMS systems
Experience with material handling equipment system, with a basic understanding of installation, operation, and required general maintenance best practices.
Good PC skills with ability to use excel and other tools to analyze data.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience in providing a high level of customer service.
Ability to work with or lead a cross-functional team with multiple crafts and skillsets.
Ability to influence others to obtain business results.
Demonstrated learning agility.
Successful candidate will frequently work independently and, as such, must be a self-starter and capable of working with minimal daily direct supervision.
Good documentation practices
Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely and accountable for supporting all HSE Corporate and Site Goals
Perform all position responsibilities following established GMP, Food Safety, Personal Safety and Quality policies and procedures.

Additional Skills/Preferences
5 years’ work experience in maintenance environment, preferably with planning & scheduling and supervisory experience
Technical degree is a plus.
Must be able to speak, read and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively.
Must be able to effectively use business software programs, such as, JDE, AMMS, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and other required software programs.
Must be able to effectively work in a team environment.
Experience working in a GMP/regulated environment.
Additional Information
This position is for day shift, M-F, 8 hours.
May be required to respond to off-hour call-in and emergencies.
May require overtime during peak periods or when additional coverage is required.
The salary range for this position is $64,350 - $107,250 USD. Pay is based on several factors which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, and labor markets.
