Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
This position is responsible for maintenance of equipment, building and grounds by directing and controlling maintenance functions, supervising maintenance employees.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Ensures operation of equipment by developing and enforcing preventative maintenance programs; studying manufacturer’s instructions; establishing repair and installation policies and procedures; troubleshooting malfunctions; coordinating outside services for maintenance; maintaining parts and supply inventories; participates in evaluating new equipment and techniques; recommending equipment and techniques; recommending equipment purchases and replacements.

• Address Management and Employee Concerns by assessing environmental, operational and occupational conditions and recommending actions.

• Achieves financial objectives by participating in the preparation of a maintenance annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

• Completes building maintenance operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.

• Maintains maintenance guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.

• Maintains maintenance staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results.

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma
