Maintenance Technician II

Purpose
Independently perform senior level support within the maintenance department, this Maintenance Technician II will utilize their skills and knowledge to perform advanced or senior technician level tasks within their respective function and begin training into other maintenance functions as a multi-skilled technician. May help train Maintenance Tech I employees.
Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Abbvie’s code of conduct and maintain the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
  • Assist in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.
  • Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks, and train others on tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
  • Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization and follow all safety and GMP regulations.


  • High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience, or Relevant Certificate with 3+ years of experience, or Associates technical degree with 1+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge and ability to use basic power tools and ability to apply proper hand and measuring tools in an industrial setting.
  • Understand and ability to follow all safety and GMP regulations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multiple skilled trade disciplines.
  • Intermediate in Computer Skills (MS Office Suites).
