Maintenance Technician

Arden Companies is a growing Michigan based leading manufacturer of Patio and Outdoor Lifestyle products. We serve the leading retailers in both the USA and Canada, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at our facility in Sanford, NC.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the Technician will work directly with the production teams to provided maintenance services to ensure On Time, Complete and Correct finishing of our outdoor lifestyle products. Successful candidates must have a passion for repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment and safety items in a high-performance culture.

Normal schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Responsibilities

• Ability to follow all safety rules and attention to working safely is required.
• Preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment needs.
• Responsible for the care and inventory of tools and equipment.
• Formulates and analyzes cost of tools, parts and supplies.
• Repair and complete preventative maintenance of equipment, facilities and grounds.
• Actively participate in troubleshooting and problems solving regarding equipment, facilities and grounds by proactively providing recommendations and taking initiative to bring concerns to the forefront before they become issues.
• Housekeeping – All employees share the responsibility of insuring that everyone has a clean, safe and healthy environment in which to work. Therefore, it is expected and required of each employee to maintain assigned work area(s) and show consideration for others in the use of facilities such as break-rooms and restrooms.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Have some maintenance experience in equipment repair.
• Knowledge of sewing machine repair a plus.
• Must demonstrate accuracy in work, attention to detail, ability to execute quickly and prioritize work load.
• Motivated individual with proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced and ever changing environment.
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to lifting 50 lb + at times, lifting above head for storage, climbing ladders, cleaning, standing, bending, stooping, walking, etc
