Maintenance Technician

Noble Company, a subsidiary of FPC International, Inc., is seeking a motivated, technically savvy and strong problem solver to join our Maintenance Team as the Maintenance Technician. In this crucial role, the incumbent will be responsible for all areas relating to ensuring all facility and production equipment is operational while maintaining required documentation for all PM’s and inspections. This position includes light fabrication, machining, welding and industrial electrical tasks.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm. Occasional flexibility needed.

Career Growth: On the job training and all safety equipment and tools provided.

Approximate Rate of Pay: $25.00/hr.

Location: 8000 Greenwell Springs Rd., Baton Rouge, LA.

Reports to: Supervisor of Maintenance

Team Dynamics: Works closely with a team of other Maintenance Technician, the operations team and administrative personnel.

Travel: Less than 10% if at all.

Certifications: None required.

PPE: provided by the company. A generous safety shoe reimbursement is available.

The Ideal Candidate will have: Well-versed experience with production equipment maintenance, trouble shooting and problem solving. Must be willing to help with welding, machining, fabrication and light industrial electrical tasks.

What you’ll be doing:

• Must use LOTO before starting any repair to a piece of equipment.
• Performs PM’s on plant and production equipment.
• Responsible for the installation of new equipment.
• Inspect buildings and systems to identify any issues.
• Ability to diagnose, test, replace or repair equipment in a timely manner.
• Keeps spare parts and maintenance items neat and organized.
• Participates in ongoing technical, safety and operational process training.
• Will perform ad-hoc welding, fabricating, machining and industrial electrical tasks.
• Maintains inventory of spare parts and supplies and assists the supervisory with re-order suggestions when needed.

Background you’ll need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of manufacturing experience working as a technician or troubleshooting industrial production equipment.
