Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a rising Junior, Senior, or recent graduate to join our growing team as a Marketing Intern.
Role Specific Duties- Assist Marketing & Communications Director in executing department tasks, which include:
- Posting & monitoring blog content to Squarespace, then sharing on LinkedIn & Twitter corporate accounts
- Pulling reports for social media, website, & internal engagement
- Welcoming new employees with short interview questions, creating welcome graphics, and sharing on internal company social media channels
- Set up monthly employee newsletters using SharePoint
- Conducting employee spotlight interviews for newsletters
- Conducting audits for competitors in our industry (training will be provided)
- Conducting research on marketing trends, employee engagement trends, and more
- Designing infographics to share on social media, educating our audience on our firm’s technical expertise (training will be provided)
- Learn about our target audience
- Learn how to effectively reach our Federal IT audience
- Help to facilitate a strong, bonded internal culture through internal marketing tactics
- Work together to effectively communicate company culture to employees
- Help to plan some events, such as an annual Corporate Volunteer Day
Required Qualifications- Recently graduated or currently enrolled in Marketing (or related) program, with an interest in joining part or full time after graduation
- Ability to clearly communicate on deadlines and blockers
- Experience or interest in learning graphic design skills and use of tools such as Canva, Figma, etc.
- Ability to stay calm with changing priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Passionate about creating new relationships; creating a corporate culture for a small business
- Interest in marketing & communications
- Be enthusiastic & willing to learn
- Great attention to detail
- A go-getter, self- starter personality that can work independently while also serving an important supporting role in a growing team
- Interest in learning more about the field of Government IT Marketing
