Overview
The Manager, Account Management (Finance) will work across advertising partners within the Finance category at Morning Brew, including clients in FinTech, alternative investments, crypto, tax, retirement, financial services and credit cards (to name a few!). As Manager, Account Management you will oversee the Account Managers’ day-to-day, support relationships with existing key clients and manage strategy for our partners in the finance category.
Morning Brew is based in New York City. This role will require access to our NYC HQ 1-2 days/week.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the Finance AM pod through bi-weekly pod meetings, weekly 1-1s and general oversight of the team’s day-to-day work. Hire and train (as needed) new team members.
- Reporting to the Associate Director of Account Management, the Manager, AM (FIN) will oversee finance client media strategy, support in the development of category-specific insights, uncover category-specific needs, and create sellable packages that best support client KPIs.
- Work hand-in-hand with the AD, respective AMs and Brand Partners (sales) to manage and grow key accounts and support in the activation of high-tier brand partnerships on-site, social, newsletter and in real life.
- The Manager, AM offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally within the Revenue org, as well as with other teams including Product, Growth, and Editorial as well as across Morning Brew’s franchises including: Morning Brew daily, Emerging Tech Brew, Retail Brew, Marketing Brew, HR Brew plus a few more to launch this year!
What makes you qualified:
- 5+ years in a digital or integrated media environment (i.e. publisher or agency), with a background in media planning and account management. Media planning experience is a must.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience.
- Experience working with Financebrands and strong understanding of their KPIs
- Strong problem solving skills and a solutions-oriented approach. Can effectively communicate performance issues and concerns internally and externally
- Ability to lead pertinent client presentations (i.e. kick-off meetings, mid-campaign reports, and wrap reporting decks).
- Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, digital activations and execution, experience with custom/ branded content, social media, and audio. Events/ virtual activations experience a plus!
- Ability to use data to craft stories, make observations and draw conclusions. Utilize this performance data and insights to drive account strategy, upsell, drive incremental and renewal business.
- You are outgoing and personable to handle client and agency relationships.
- Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Boostr, Megaphone, Podsights, Sailthru experience a plus.
- Passion for and belief in Morning Brew, its mission and its franchises and products.
- Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
