The AR Manager is charged with the proper invoicing within standard polices reflective of the customer’s requirements. He or she shall work with any and all personnel to assure timely and accurate invoicing and rating occurs. The AR Manager will at times be required to interface with operational managers and occasionally with the Executive Board. The AR Manager will primarily manage our Account Receivable Analyst team as well as our Decommissions team.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

  • Assure timely collection of monies due to corporation through direct customer interaction and via a team of AR specialists.
  • Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards.
  • Assure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Manage cash application making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.
  • Assure that the company's standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer.
  • Determine invoice frequency to annual or quarterly where applicable.
  • Report bad debt forecasts.
  • Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures.
  • Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
  • Lead and develop a team of Accounts Receivable Support Specialists

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior spreadsheets skills and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Clear understanding bad debt forecasting and collections strategies necessary to be successful in the role.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in accounting or finance required
  • Three years of experience in credit and collections preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Knowledge and understanding of D&B reporting is required.
  • 2-3 years management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams from around the company
