JOB SUMMARY:
The Benefits & Wellbeing Manager is a part of the Benefits & Wellbeing team at IPG Health and reports to
the Director, Benefits & Wellbeing. The Benefits & Wellbeing Manager will help oversee daily operations of
the Benefits & Wellbeing team while managing multiple programs across the agency. An integral part of
this position is ensuring that escalated employee benefits or leaves concerns are resolved in a timely
manner. The Benefits & Wellbeing Manager also works closely with the Director to ensure that the
company’s benefit programs are communicated effectively and meet the needs of the employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Management of Benefits & Wellbeing Programs and Team: Responsible for overseeing Benefits and Leave of
Absence administration for the company, as well as handle the daily operations of the Benefits team. Manage
Leaves of Absence as needed.
Conflict Resolution: Escalate and resolve employee issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Benefits Analysis and Research: Analyze data and conduct research to assess the effectiveness and
competitiveness of existing benefits & wellbeing programs.
Employee Support and Conflict Resolution: Act as a resource for employees, addressing and resolving benefit
related questions, concerns or issues. Escalate benefits or leave of absence conflicts or issues as needed.
Legal & Compliance: Stay up to date with relevant employment laws and other regulations related to benefit and LOA administration. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and conduct all legal filings as necessary.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations of the Benefits & Wellbeing team; offer support and assistance to team
members when needed.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for enhancing employee benefits
and wellbeing programs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring accurate handling
of claims.
- Plan and coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process, including communication strategies and
timeline.
- Develop comprehensive communication materials to educate employees about available benefits.
- Organize and host monthly Benefit Office Hour sessions where employees can seek assistance and
ask questions on benefit-related matters.
- Manage the company's tuition reimbursement program while following established guidelines and
policies.
- Manage full cycle Leaves of Absence as needed; handle escalated or complex Leave of Absence (LOA)
claims, providing guidance and support where needed.
- Continuously research and monitor industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to
employee benefits & wellbeing.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve the company's Benefits & Wellbeing offerings based on
new trends and employee needs.
- Take on a mentorship role for the junior level employees with the Benefits & Wellbeing department,
providing guidance and support in their career growth while delegating tasks.
EDUCATION:
DEGREE/DIPLOMA AREA OF STUDY REQUIRED/PREFERRED
Bachelor’s Degree Related Field Required
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AREA OF EXPERTISE REQUIRED/PREFERRED
5+ years Benefits Required
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of benefit and federal/ state leave laws
- Extensive knowledge of Policy and Procedures impacting benefit offerings and Leave of Absences
- Management experience preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong conflict resolution skills; identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively
Salary: $116,000 to $138,000 annually.
