About the Role

The Manager of the Business Development team will manage and grow the Business Development Representative (BDR) team whose goal is to generate revenue by developing opportunities for the Riskified sales team. We're looking for an experienced leader who has proven success managing lead-generating teams, ideally at the enterprise level. The BDR team consists of 4-6 reps and you will help develop and grow these reps. Your main responsibilities as a manager will include:

  • Recruit, train, and optimize a team of BDRs responsible for outbound sales engagements
  • Refine the Riskified sales pitch and process to achieve optimum results
  • Establish metrics and help the team improve by understanding their performance
  • Measure and review the effectiveness of outbound campaigns to report to the VP of Sales
  • Optimize call scripts and make recommendations for future campaigns
  • Create and execute on new outbound campaigns (door openers, round tables etc)
  • Meet with your team members daily to provide side-by-side coaching as well as call monitoring
  • Help create a fun, high energy environment where people love coming to work
  • Oversee and upskill the team on systems including LeadIQ, Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, Seismic, Sendoso, and more
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to ensure success of online marketing campaigns

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience (ideally enterprise)
  • 2+ years of outbound SDR/BDR management experience
  • A proven track record of delivering sales pipeline at a fast growing company with multiple sales segments with an outbound model
  • Proficiency in SDR/BDR tech stack: Outreach.io, Salesforce and more
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to build out new processes
  • Excellent active listening skills with genuine curiosity used to easily collaborate with both prospects and colleagues
  • Technically adept

This is an incentive-based role and a significant portion of compensation is based on performance against objectives. The base salary range for this position is $135,000-$145,000. This range is applicable to candidates who will perform the job either wholly, or in part, within New York City. Actual salary will be based on qualifications, competencies, and location.
