Manager Data Governance Strategist
Job Summary
The Manager Data Governance Strategist is a key member of the Data Analytics team at Crowe and is responsible for a hands-on approach, development and implementation of data governance and data strategy for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data governance principles and practices, as well as experience in developing and implementing data strategies. The Manager Data Governance Strategist will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement changes. This person will be able to work with clients ranging in maturity levels from nascent to robust. Additionally, this person is not only technically adept, but also must be capable of relaying all key technical concepts to executive leaders in clear business terms, noting business impact for recommendations made.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement data governance framework
Develop and implement data strategy
Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions
Implement changes to the data environment
Establish monitoring and reporting mechanisms that demonstrate the effectiveness of data governance and data strategy
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
Mentor and coach staff on techniques and approaches
Demonstrate thought leadership through speaking engagements, position papers and presentation deliverables
Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field
Bachelors degree required
5-7+ years of experience in data governance or data strategy
Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices
Experience in developing and implementing data strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong executive presences and client-facing skills
