About the Team:

At SmartAsset, you will work with a group of business leaders devoted to helping people get better financial advice. Although this is a stand-alone role, you will have the support of a close-knit group of individuals that help craft strategies and implement ideas that improve the Financial Products business line.

About the Job:

The Manager of Strategy & Operations for Financial Products will be one of the leaders within SmartAsset's Marketing & Revenue Operations team. This role will be responsible for driving business strategy and delivering revenue within the Financial Products line of business. Identifying new business opportunities, owning revenue reporting, analyzing data, and ultimately ensuring that the FP business is on a growth trajectory are all important aspects to this role.

An ideal candidate is self-motivated, independent, has a keen attention to detail, and possesses expert-level analytical skills. The ideal candidate will love using data to create actionable business insights. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to be part of an innovative and dynamic fintech startup.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Financial Products business, with a mindset to drive FP business strategy and collaborate across teams
  • Build and execute data-driven strategies and processes that will drive revenue and yield optimization
  • Manage a portfolio of client budgets, maximize delivery of budgets, improve margin of business, and manage client KPIs in partnership with the Sales team
  • Work cross-functionally with Ad Ops, Sales, Product, and BizDev to make operational improvements, create products, and deliver on revenue goals
  • Set benchmarks and build revenue forecasts through quantitative analysis and modeling
  • Report on status of financial products business and deliver presentations to senior leadership regularly

Skills / Experience You Have:

  • 4-6 years experience in finance, ad/revenue operations, consulting or data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Effective in an unstructured environment with competing priorities that require new perspective and creative approaches
  • Experience managing complex projects and willingness to lead business through fast-paced and changing environment
  • Inquisitive and analytical mind, strong disposition to learn, and an exceptional team player
  • Superior presentation skills

Skills / Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau desired
  • Prior experience with ad operations and campaign trafficking
  • Revenue forecasting and dashboard development through data analysis
  • Cross-collaboration with various teams, including Business Development, Product, Sales, etc.
